A stacked card of 10 races will take place at Rosehill this Saturday afternoon with plenty of opportunities to build a bank.

Race 1: Benchmark 72 Handicap (1300m) – 12:20pm
Tip: No. 1 I Say Hello
The Kris Less trained I Say Hello returned to the races with an impressive second behind the smart Lady Of Luxury on Boxing Day, beaten less than half a length.
Lady Of Luxury went on to win on the Gold Coast at her next start which franked the form of that race and this filly will take plenty of benefit out of that run.
She can start our day on a winning note.
Race 2: 2YO Handicap (1100m) – 12:55pm
Tip: No Bet
Race 3: Highway Handicap (1500m) – 1:30pm
Tip: No. 5 Lord Desanimaux
Lord Desanimaux has been narrowly denied in his last two efforts but he is a horse racing well right at the minute.
The grey gelding has just two wins to his name from 35 career race starts but one of those wins came in a similar grade of race just four starts back by over a length and a half.
A repeat of that effort would see him go close in this and he will appreciate the step back in distance.
Race 4: Midway Handicap (1200m) – 2:05pm
Tip: No. 6 Sky Command
Sky Command showed plenty of early promise when putting together back to back wins on the heavy track as a two year old.
The daughter of Deep Field was no match for them when tackling The Rosebud after those wins but she is clearly a filly with plenty of ability.
She has not been seen at the races since September but her most recent trials suggests she is ready to win first up.

Race 5: Benchmark 78 Handicap (2000m) – 2:40pm
Tip: No. 2 Dhakuri
The James Cummings trained Dhakuri has put together back to back wins leading into the fifth event of the day at Rosehill.
The four year old gelding has been placed in seven of 14 career starts despite a rise in weight, he looks the one to beat in this event.
Fitness will not be an issue and Glen Schofield has drawn perfectly in barrier three.
Race 6: Benchmark 78 Handicap (1500m) – 3:15pm
Tip: No. 1 For Valour
The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained For Valour has now won four of his last five starts and has missed a place only three times in 10 career starts.
He is a very progressive type of hose who seems to step up to the challenge every time he is asked and makes his own luck right on the speed.
This is the toughest assignment of his short career but it is hard to go past a horse that is racing as well as him at the minute.
Race 7: Benchmark 88 Handicap (1100m) – 3:55pm
Tip: No.2 The Bopper
The Bopper returned to the races for the first time since February with an impressive win over the 1000m at Randwick just before Christmas.
The lightly raced four year old gelding had a bit of work to do as he rounded the turn first up but he showed an excellent turn of foot to score by over a length.
I love the fact that he has had a month in between runs and he is one of the better bets of the day in my opinion.
Race 8: Benchmark 78 Handicap (1350m) – 4:35pm
Tip: No. 3 Tamerlane
Tamerlane is a young horse with a fair amount of ability and although he hasn’t broken through in two runs so far this prep, both runs have been full of merit.
He was narrowly beaten first up at this track over 1200m and then was doing his best work late when favourite last start at Randwick.
He will be ready to peak at his third run this prep and he represents good each way value at his current price.
Race 9: Benchmark 78 Handicap (1200m) – 5:20pm
Tip: No. 6 Ulysses
Ulysses finished his last campaign with two solid effort at both Doomben and the Gold Coast when beaten by less than two lengths in quality races.
I was impressed by his most recent trial leading into this first up assignment when he finished just behind the smart Fituese.
The son of Dawn Approach has won twice from four first up attempts and has failed to place in just one of five at this distance.
Race 10: Benchmark 78 Handicap (1100m) – 6:00pm
Tip: Boxed Tri 1/3/8/10/11
