Watch đź“ş Stakes targets beckon for Warwick Farm winners

Tulloch Lodge has stakes race aspirations for beautifully related filly Dominetta, who has broken her maiden in the stable’s typically tough fashion, kicking resolutely to lead throughout at Warwick Farm.

A half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner Hartnell, the three-year-old settled on speed from her low draw and maintained an advantage to the line to take out Wednesday’s Drinkwise Plate (1200m) by just over a length.

Co-trainer Adrian Bott believes she will be better again over further and hopes she can progress to a race like the Listed Reginald Allen Quality (1400m) next month.

“I think there is a lot of upside, particularly if we can potentially get her out in trip,” Bott said.

“Maybe she could go through to a Reginald Allen, something like that over 1400 metres. That would be a nice race for her.

“She had her debut in the Magic Millions race and has come back now, but in the autumn she will be an even better filly.”

Michael Freedman also unearthed an exciting three-year-old in unbeaten filly Spirit Of Wealth.

Despite racing greenly in the straight, the daughter of Capitalist was a class above her rivals in the Kia Ora Prague Handicap (1200m), adding to her debut win at Newcastle.

Tommy Berry has ridden her in both and regards her as a filly with stakes-class ability and a sassy attitude to match.

“I remember with her at home one day, I gave her a slap down the shoulder coming in and she put her head between her legs and tried to drop me, so she’s got a bit of buzz about her,” Berry said.

“Today was really good. I liked her more the other day when she had something to lead her and switched off really well, where today, she travelled a little bit stronger than I would have liked in the middle stages.

“But she put them away effortlessly and had a pretty good look all the way down the straight.

“There are some nice races in stakes company that she would be well suited in.”

Bott and training partner Gai Waterhouse had three runners at Warwick Farm and came away with a clean sweep, import Alalcance and the lightly raced Rock Empire also recording wins to deliver the stable a treble.
