A golden chance has emerged for racing investors, with a 10 percent ownership in the talented colt Coleman up for sale through Inglis Digital’s April (Early) Online Auction, which is now live.
Interest has been strong from the outset, with bidding already reaching $80,000 by 4:30pm on Friday for the share in the promising son of Pierata.
As a juvenile, Coleman quickly made his mark, claiming victories in both the Listed Debutant Stakes and the Group 3 Chairman’s Stakes. However, he failed to fire as the favourite in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes.
He rebounded with a solid third in the Group 3 Pago Pago Stakes, followed by a narrow second to Lady Of Camelot in the Golden Slipper. He then placed once more at Group 1 level with a third in the ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes.
During his three-year-old campaign, his most notable effort was a close second in the Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes last spring. Since then, Coleman has moved from the care of Matt Laurie to champion trainer Chris Waller.
Now in training, he is being readied for a winter tilt in Brisbane, where he is being aimed at the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 and the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap.
Other key listings in the Inglis Digital sale include Bout, a full sister to Flying Artie who is currently in-foal to Shinzo, a valuable stallion share in Russian Revolution, and Aardvark—last year’s Listed Talindert Stakes winner by Capitalist. Final bids open at 10am on Wednesday.
