Sandown Horse Racing Tips, Best Bets and Race Previews – 11/5/2022

We’re back to Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday, May 11th for another talent-rich eight-race program.

The rail will be set out five metres around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Soft (6) range.

Preview brought to you by Ladbrokes. Learn more about Ladbrokes HERE.

Race 1 – Ladbroke It! Plate (1000m)

There’s virtually no form to study ahead of the first and therefore many debutants are prominent in betting.

I am happy to stay out of this one from a betting perspective.

Bet Now: Race 1

Race 2 – Ladbrokes Switch Handicap (2400m)

This is a drop in class for Irish Butterfly, and I am going to give him another chance.

The O’reilly gelding doesn’t win out of turn, but he has returned some competitive performances in decent races recently, and he is rock-hard fit.

The mile and a half looks ideal at this point of his prep and we can have an each-way play.

Bet Now: Irish Butterfly

Race 3 – Thoroughbred Club Handicap (1300m)

Miss Middle Park has been a model of consistency since debuting, and she strikes another winnable race at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The daughter of Maurice has recorded one win and four minors from just six career starts so far, and she only just missed at Pakenham at her last appearance.

She hasn’t been seen at the races for three months, but this looks an ideal launchpad for her, and the booking of Jamie Kah certainly doesn’t hinder her chances of winning.

Bet Now: Miss Middle Park

Race 4 – The Big Screen Company Handicap (1000m)

Super Thief can make a winning return to the races at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The Lindsay Park-trained galloper won each of his first two starts back last time, and he was far from disgraced in a couple of tough races in own.

He is yet to finish second at this point of his prep, and he gets some relief in the weights under Laura Lafferty.

Bet Now: Super Thief

Race 5 – Ladbrokes Blended Bets Handicap (1000m)

This looks to be one of the more open contests of the day and there is a case to be made for several, including Darceandermill.

Darceandermill has made three appearances at the races since resuming back in March, and he has continued to improve with each.

I thought that there was a lot to like about his most-recent effort, which saw him attack the line for second over 1000m at Bendigo, and he looks ready to go one better.

Bet Now: Darceandermill

Race 6 – Ladbrokes Mates Mode Handicap (1800m)

Oceana Blue puts an unbeaten record on the line when she resumes at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday, and with even luck, I think that she can make a winning return.

She has made just one appearance at the races so far, but it was an eye-catching effort, and she quickened to score a handy two-length win at Geelong.

Luke Nolen rides, and I am happy to stick with her until she gives me a reason not to.

Bet Now: Oceana Blue

Race 7 – Ladbrokes Same Race Multi Handicap (1800m)

I am a big fan of Reuber, and he is the one that I want to be with in the penultimate race at Ladbrokes Park this week.

Reuber has been a great horse for the Cindy Alderson yard throughout his career, and he has raced well in strong Saturday company many times.

He takes his place in this contest second-up, and following a smart win over a mile at Pakenham.

Bet Now: Reuber

Race 8 – Ladbrokes Punter Assist Handicap (1400m)

Visinari is another last-start winner with claims again at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

Visinari showed ability during a brief Australian debut prep last spring, and he returned a winner via and utterly dominant performance at Pakenham last month.

He’ll only improve for that effort and should receive every chance this week under Jamie Kah.

Bet Now: Visinari
